With over two decades of experience in the mortgage industry, David Holland has led HMA Mortgage with vision and integrity since founding the company, originally Holland Mortgage Group, in 2005. Under his leadership, HMA Mortgage started with humble beginnings in one office, progressively added over 20 branches, and has since grown into one of the most prominent independent mortgage bankers servicing the majority of the United States. HMA has become well-known for its personalized service, strong values, and client-first approach.
David’s success is reflected in both personal and company-wide achievements. For the past decade, he has consistently been ranked in the top 1% of loan officers nationwide for both units and total volume. Since 2010, he has also been honored with the Five Star Mortgage Professional Award since its inception.
A respected leader in the mortgage community, David served as President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Southwest PA for the 2019–2020 term, following three years as an active board member. Throughout his career, he has successfully closed over 5,000 transactions – a testament to his deep industry knowledge and unwavering commitment to clients.
David’s journey in real estate finance began while earning his degree at John Carroll University, where he worked as a Title Searcher for four years. That early hands-on experience laid the groundwork for his future success and gave him a unique perspective on the mortgage process from the ground up.
Outside the office, David is an avid runner, cyclist, hiker, mountain climber, and Grateful Dead fan. He and his wife Lindsey live in Pittsburgh with their four children – Josephine, Mary, Charlie, and Caroline.
