Since 2010, Holland Mortgage Advisors has grown from an independent mortgage broker into a fully-licensed lender. Their company boasts a talented and experienced staff to better accommodate their clients’ needs in a timely manner, including on-staff underwriters, processors, and closers. With their systems in place, they are able to have full control over their own processes, use their own private panel of real estate appraisers, and make credit approvals all while being able to make funding decisions in-house. “All this to enhance the experience, prevent delays, and ensure a seamless transaction,” says Jonathan Freed.
As a Pittsburgh-based mortgage lender, Holland Mortgage Advisors has spent over a decade providing residential first mortgage financing throughout Pennsylvania. Operating as a lender, rather than a broker, means the company can lend out their own money and underwrite and approve loans directly from their main office located on Campbells Run Road.
From the beginning, their mission has been simply “to offer our clients friendly, quality, comprehensive service and the most competitive lending rates possible,” states Regional Sales Manager Stan Brusoski. And while they do control their own credit decisions, they also have retained the ability to outsource underwriting to their lending partners, maintaining the ability to send difficult loans to their end-investors when needed. Managing Partner Jonathan Freed adds, “We are not only in sales, but we are problem solvers. We all work together to ensure every borrower has a timely mortgage and if there is a problem, we work together to solve it.”
Initially formed when David Holland, Jonathan Freed, and their former partner Dana DiVecchio merged their companies to become a single unit and force, the team at Holland Mortgage continues to operate under the same mantra and motto. Jonathan often recites, “Mediocrity doesn’t work here.” However, the merger allowed them to offer their customers superior value from a mortgage company as they follow similar mindsets: “We close on-time, our originators will follow up on every referral with the goal of making the agent look great, and our system is designed to provide an enormous amount of communication so that every agent involved in the transaction knows what is going on at every step of the way.”
With such a successful history and positive client experience, it’s no wonder Holland Mortgage is primarily a referral-based company. Their dedication to keeping open lines of communication with their clients and beyond has solidified their position in the industry. Notifications of the status on client files keep everyone in sync and up-to-date, linking REALTORS ®, buyers and even their own internal staff. “We even have reminders if tasks aren’t complete and the program is good enough to notify management if there is a problem,” explains Jonathan.
The next step for Holland Mortgage is expansion! Stan explains, “We are a growing company, having added eight highly-talented originators to our staff in 2019. We are looking to continue our growth at a controlled and thoughtful pace into 2020. The management team is comprised of Jonathan Freed and David Holland, along with Vice President of Operations Marie Pietropaolo and Vice President of Sales Stan Brusoski. In addition, VP of Business Development Randa Triggs joined the Holland team in 2018 to help grow the sales team.”
